Hello,

First time posting, was recommend by a friend to post my tunze issue. Same friend gave me his old Tunze ato unit a month or so ago and didn't seem to have any issues. I go on vacation and come back to my return pump sucking air, tunze unit failed to come on, :(. After some research, I purchased another pump, but still having the same issue. I removed the cover on the controller and can hear the relay toggling whenever I remove the Osmolator from the water. I double checked the connections, tried leaving the unit on over night, and even let the unit sit and a vinegar/ro water solution. Not sure what else to try and didn't see anything else posted about the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

Are you sure the issue is not simply the safety timer described on pages 22-29? After 1.8 minutes by default the controller shuts down the pump and will never run it again unless the power is cycled. As an alarm to let you know this happened, the pump will twitch for a period of time. This is only enough for a total capacity of up to 25 gallons, it can be extended to 3 minutes for systems up to 55 gallons. If you unplug it and plug it back in and it runs for the allotted period of time, the issue is the safety timer which is there to prevent a flood in case the float fails. The timer is reset if the float rises in time. Another common issue is the pump can be air locked so it does not pump water even though it is running, try tipping it upside down while it is submerged to purge any trapped air.
