Tunze 3152 Problem

Hi Guys,

Today I recieved and set up the Tunze 3152 nano. However, upon testing the it, I've noticed that the fail-safe system did not kick in and it did not time-out.

After 1.8 minutes of the designated dosing period, the system only simply pauses for 2 seconds, then continues to dose with water.

I've timed the dosing up to 15 minutes without the system completely stopping (only a brief pause every 1.8 minutes, then continuous dosing).

I have checked the jumper position on the micro-processor and everything else seems normal.

I am very uncomfortable running the system on my tank without the auto time-off fail safe.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I hope it's just a matter of incorrect setup.

Any advice or help will be much appreciated!

After the run time, the pump pulses on and off very quickly, this is the equivalent of an alarm and little to no water should be added by this pulsing unless the reservoir is elevated above or level to the tank. Is it possible that you have a siphon due to the reservoir position? If the water line in the reservoir is above the end of the hose where it clamps to the tank or sump, water will siphon after the pump shuts off.

The resevoir position is directly below the tank and the output pipe extendeds vertically around 1 meter. The pipe is clearly above water level. I get continuous full powered dosing after the brief 2 second pause. The pump does not shut off

Any ideas roger?

Either the power is shutting off so it restarts for another run of the pump or something is wrong with the controller.

Nothings wrong with the power supply.... I guess I got a lemon. So unlucky...

I have already sent it back to my dealer. Hopefully he will replace the unit for me. Its just a pain because I bought it online.
