Tunze 3155 no sump

I have a standard 75 gallon with no sump and wondered if this ATO would work? Didnt know if the water level would have to be lower cause of the magnetic mount.

The magnet mount has an offset to accomodate trim, with that said it is likely the water level will have to be 1/4-1/2" below the trim, this varies with type of trim and how it is installed, some manufacturers seal the inside of the trim and the silicon can prevent installing the magnet as high as possible under the trim.

The 1/4-1/2" is that from the inside lip or when looking at the tank would the waterline be below the trim?? Thanks.

That would be below the trim when looking at the tank. Basically, depending on the trim width and design and how it is installed you will be roughly flush with the trim or up to about 1/2" below.

Ah got it thanks. Been wanting ATO but no sump has me wondering which direction to go.

The water level lands just below the trim on my sumpless frag tank, currently looking for a different mounting option. (Hence me surfing the tunze threads)
