Tunze 6005 and 6010 upgrade ??

I have run both the 6005 and 6010 for a few years now and my question is will the Hydrofoamer e-jet pumps 9006.040 and 9011.040 directly replace the original pumps and fit in with no modifications or will I have to buy complete new skimmers ??

I guess you mean 9005 and 9010 skimmers. If that is the case you can just buy pumps for 9006 and 9011 without any modification.

Yes COCO I did mean to put 9005 and 9010........it's an age thing with me :lol: and I thank you for your prompt reply..

Just for a 2nd opinion I spoke to the guy at TUNZE UK yesterday about the possible exchange to the 9006.040 and 9011.040 Hydrofoamer e-jet pump units from the origanal's and he could not give me an answer without consulting his boss....... who is on vacation.He is going to let my local TUNZE dealer know the results of his enquiries and then I will buy the replacements whenever that may be.

Roger answered that you can use 9006 and 9011 pump without modification to fit 9005 and 9010, respectively.

I have ordered the pair of pumps (and a few spares for my other TUNZE pumps) as I am sure that the rest of the skimmer's have not been altered and they will fit straight in.
Thanks again for your help and advice COCO and I will post my opinion on any improvement in the performance that I find after a decent run in period.
