Tunze 6025 Impeller Noise

I recently bought a Nanostream 6025 and when I turn the unit on a clacking sound is made by the impeller. If I turn the unit off again it stops making the noise. But if the pump is off for a while when it is switched on makes the noise again. Is there a problem with the impellar or shaft? I'm in Australia so if there is a problem who would I need to contact?

Thanks

Zen.

This is normal and how the pump is supposed to work. The clacking noise at start up is the impeller attempting to right itself so it will spin in the correct direction. Path of least resistance is for it to spin backwards so as it flies out of the magnetic gap and drops back in it rights itself like a seed of a maple tree falling to ground
