Tunze 6045s problems

I have two 6045s and have been very happy with how they perform. Now, I have two major problems with them:

1. Loose propeller housing: The power cord is round and big. It prevents the propeller housing to snap shut. A snail, or a strong current, or slight move on the cable can cause the propeller housing to fall off. They fell off a couple times per month, then a couple times a week. Now, they fall off once or twice a day are normal :( . I am so tempted to super glue them so may times :) Is there a mod or a trick or a way to fix this?

2. Power head start up: they were fine, until recently. How they start up is completely unpredictable. Here is the list: loud noise, rattling noise, delay, reverse, propellers move in and out of the shafts,... All the parts are clean and no build-up. What is wrong, and how do I correct this?

P.S. The C-clamps need to be handle with extremly care. It costs ~$8 + shipping. My friend said they are covered under warranty. Grrrrhhhh...

Thanks

Send me these pumps and we will get them fixed up or replaced. The covers have been changed slightly, they have a deeper cord notch and deeper plug in tabs. My guess is the shafts are broken or loose and that is the main cause of the noise.
