Tunze 6055 - does it need a controller to workd?

Do you need a controller to see/hear the pump work?

I want to place it in the tank and just manually check its operation and flow rates without springing for a controller just yet.

Yes, it will work fine without a controller, you can adjust the speed with the voltage switch at the underside of the power supply.

Pretty sure it is recommended to disconnect the power supply before changing the position of the voltage switch, but yes it will run without a controller attached.
