Tunze 6055

I have a tunze 6055 that goes on for a few seconds then off then on then off it's not connected to a controller so not sure what the issue could be.

The drive unit could be stuck/binding to the shaft, this would cause a safety shut down. If so a thorough cleaning should solve it and in general in a case like this you will see the light on the power supply shut off.

Besides that the motor would likely be failing and need to be replaced.

I tried another drive unit from my other 6055 and its doing the same thing. Although it's not a new drive unit could the motor be dying?

The shaft is free of any calcium that you can see and the drive unit easily slides in and out?

If so, then it has to be the motor.

Yes it slides out easily on the the shaft. Although the magnet came off the plastic propeller thing

Are you sure the magnet is not spinning consistently and only occasionally engaging the propeller?
