Tunze 6095 Minimum flow w/o a controller

I'd like to replace my MP40s to tunze 6095. I don't need such a fancy reef crest mode or even flow change.

I just need wide but gentle constant flow which can remove sludges effectively with giving no stress to my mushroom corals

While I have already read product description and pdf manuals which describe the lowest rate as 550 GPH, I am still curious what is 6095's lowest GPH I can have without a controller.

I have tunze 1073.05 and I can get the lowest GPH with 12V jumper and turning the knob. Does 6095 work in the same way 1073.05 does?
 
If it doesn't, is the driver of 1073.05 which supports knob adjustment compatible with that of 6095?

If compatible, I'd like to replace flow adjustment and power system of 1073.05 with those of 6095 and vice versa.
 
One more question if DC drivers of 1073.05 is compatible with 6095.

1073.05's DC input ranges from 18V to 24V while 6095 starts from 12V. Does 1073 supports 12V, if interchangeable?
 
The 6095 is similar but different in that it lacks the potentiometer, the power supply has more jumpers, 12, 15, 18, 20, 22 and 24V. At 12V the 6095 will do about 1200gph, a controller would be needed to turn it down further but the flow is quite diffuse and on any tank someone could reasonably run an MP-40, I don't see the 1200gph being an issue. If you wanted to turn them down further a basic 7092 can do that for 2 pumps.
 
You could use the 1073.050 power supply on your 6095, but not the other way around, it would burn out the smaller 6095 power supply due to the higher load.
 
Cool. You mean I can connect 6095 to 1073.05's power with 12v inserted and use the knob to reduce the power.
 
The potentiometer knob is part of the pump, not the power supply. The 6095 has no potentiometer. You would not gain anything by using the 1073.050 power supply, you would actually lose some functionality because you wouldnt have 6 jumpers for voltage, only 3. But, in an emergency you could swap the power supply.
