Tunze 6100.10?

Got a Tunze 6100.10 from a friend. looking for some info about what I need to get it running or do I need to trash it. It is just the pump with the magnet mount.

If you have no driver (the aluminum box) and no power supply (hockey puck) you really have less than half the value and the drivers have not been made since 2009. I wouldn't consider it worth fixing up if you only have a motor and magnet holder. I would probably sell the magnet mount and give the motor to a friend with a working pump as a spare part since we don't know if it works or not. The 6100's were made from 2002-2007.

Roger - I've been searching for new impellers for my 6100.10 but cant find them anywhere. I know the pumps are out of production but can I get the impellers anywhere? Also, I would like to upgrade them and saw your thread about replacing the power supply or is it the driver to get more flow. Are these upgradable parts still available? Thanks

The drive unit is 6100.700. We did sell out last week and are waiting for more to arrive, you can order them on Tunze.com. Most dealers don't stock many spare parts but Premium Aquatics and Salty Critter have both stocked these periodically and may have them on hand.

If you have the 7410.602 transformer, no upgrade is possible, that is the most that pump can do, if you have the 7210.202 you could upgrade. I would question the wisdom of doing it though as I would not personally invest $60 per pump ($90+ with drive units) for something that is likely on numbered days. These pumps are at least 5 and as much as 10 years old and near the end of the life you can expect, the major parts of driver and motor are no longer available and a smarter investment would be newer pumps.
