tunze 6100 running v.v. slow

I have got 2 x 6100 streams one is about 8 months old with the blue writing on the back and the hole through the middle of the impellor and the other one is an older one with the yellow writing and the impellor with the brakes on and screw in the end of it rather than the hole. The problem is with this one, I have cleaned it out thorougly and soaked it in white vinegar but it still runs extremely slowly probably giving out about 10% of the newer one. Anyone know why and how it can be remedied?

Check the control box setting (Blue). Though you may have the controler (black with knobs)set at full, but if the screw adjustment is turned down at the box (set low) then that will be the max the pump will run with the controler set to max.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Bummer...

Are you using two controllers or a multi for your Tunze pumps? If you have two, try switching them and see if the problem migrates with the controller. If your using a multi then switch the inputs to test its functionality. Maybe its a bad controller...
