I have a Tunze I bought off another reefer, but most Tunze are black, the 6100 I bought off this reefer was dark brown in color and not black but it says 6100 on the back. HOW OLD IS THIS and will this perform as good as the newer models?... TIA!

I just received two brand new 6000s. They are both dark brown. As for the numbering there is also some anomaly there. I don't have it in front of me, but the 6000s I received are numbered something like 6100.10 on the back of them. I'm sure others will provide more details, but yours are not necessarily old....
The past models are all dark brown. I think the new models they are making now are black. Both the 6100 and 6000 have the 6100.10 on the back of it. That's just the part number, I think. What makes it a 6100 or 6000 is the transformer.
Brown is the current color. We switch to black in June. The production date is pressed into the plastic near the label. 6100.10 is just the part number for the actual motor coil and not a pump model number.
