My Tunze 6101 side strainer always seem to fill with algea and stuff so the flow is restricted. So I took the strainer out and cut off every other bar to open up the side strainer, also when I mount it back into the tank, I mount it upside down so the pump pointing slightly upward instead of downward. What a different, the flow is so strong I can't believe it. Minor changes to greatly improve my tank without having to spend extra money and using more energy is awesome.
