Tunze 6101 won't turn on

I have 2 Tunze 6101's and neither one will turn on.
I took them off my tank, cleaned and stored them to try 2 MP40's. After around 6 months of running the MP40's I decided I liked the tunze pumps better and decided to switch back. I hooked up my tunzes and neither 1 will come on.
On one of the power supplies the jumper doesn't light up and the other one it lights red. I have tied both power supplies on both pumps with no luck.

any ideas or suggestions?

Kevin

I suspect one of two things, either the power supplies were affected by humidity or salt creep or got wet in storage, or, the drive units jammed up if they were not cleaned thoroughly before going into storage (salt and calcium dries up along with any detritus and essentially cements them solid so they cannot spin) a cleaning in vinegar and warm water with a soft brush would solve this. If you have a voltmeter it would be worth checking the output of the power supplies.

I'll give that a try tonight and let you know how it goes. Should I do straight vinegar? thanks for the reply

I would mix it with warm water 50/50 the warm water goes a long way on salt and "mud".

the warm vinegar soak didn't do anything. What else can I do?

Its fustrating they were working, removed them from the tank and cleaned them and stored them in a closet. Decided to go back to them and both dead.

Craig and Roger thanks for your help.
I took the 6101's to my LFS - FAOIS and was able to determine both power supplies were bad.

Thanks again

Kevin
