Tunze 6105 stopped working

Hi Roger,

I have a 6105 pump that has stopped working altogether, please advise as to what to do. I have unplugged and then plugged back in to no avail.

Do you just have the one pump? I would be curious to see if we could narrow down the problem further. Is the pump dead or the power supply? If you have a second pump, I would swap the power supplies. How old is the pump? Have you tried cleaning it?

HI Roger,

I only have the one pump and power supply, it is about a 12 to 15 months old and I got it to work intermittently but the power block does feel warmer than usual. I clean the pump about ever 3 months. PLease let me know what you think.

Brian,

Have you checked that the prop/magnet can spin freely on the metal shaft? It can become stuck to the shaft by lime deposits and then it must drag the shaft to spin, this will cause an overheat and shut off. If this moves freely or freeing it up still doesn't solve the problem, I would send it in with the power supply to-
