Tunze 6125 powerhead

It depends, if it is an older model from prior to 2012 that had the removable shaft (shaft spans from the back of the motor to the front housing and has a blue rubber bushing on either end) this shaft can be easily replaced and a new one runs about $8 with the disk and bushings. If it is a later one after 2012, the shaft is pressed in and not easily replaced. However, one of that age may well be a warranty issue as long as the shaft was not pulled or forced in some way.

I changed out the impeller and the rod came out with it. The old impeller did not have the blue rubber bushing but the new one impeller did. I think I may have bought the wrong impeller. Either way, I doubt if I can find the receipt.

Send it in, did the rod break or just pull out? They have date codes stamped on them and one built that way cannot be more than 2.5 years old. Their are two drive units 6125.700 (old with removable shaft) and 6125.701. They are basically the same except you wouldn't use the shaft to install 6125.700 in a pump which needs 6125.701.
