Tunze 6200 Question

I just read in a thread That all of the variable stream housing's and controllers are the same. The difference is in the round module. So I'm guessing that my 6000 housing is the same as a 6200? Is this true?

The 6200 is the exception. It must have the new driver 7240.27. It has a bigger prop and the drive unit has been beefed up. The transformer is much bigger, about double the thickness of a 6100 and rated to 80w.

I hooked up the 6200 and its more powerful than I thought. I'm using the multicontroller with this and have it set to pulse at 30% to 100%. Will turning the transformer down slow it down even more?

You can't turn down the driver and run the controller- it is either or. The control difference should be the same either way. You could reduce the top level pulse and then gradually increase it, likely things will get used to the high flow.

No, in all probability the pump won't run. The pump can only do 30%. That is set by adjusting the driver if no controller is used or if a controller is used the driver is at 100% to make sure enough power goes to the controller and then the controller is turned down.
