Tunze 6206 Nano Wave Box Question

Roger,

I am wondering if this wave box would work on my 6' tank. I am not looking to get a wave, but would like some movement down the length of the back of my tank behind the rock work to keep the gunk from settling there. I have a 3 sided overflow centered on the back wall.

Just wondering your thoughts on if that would give some random flow across the tank to keep everything suspended.

The reason i am also thinking about the wave box is that it will blend into my black background and i can get one for a good price.

On up to 150 gallons it will work well, up to 180 it will barely work, you need to tune it to produce a wave to get any result, it is the wave that produces the flow, otherwise all that is in it is a modded 6055 which is barely adequate for a tank of that size. Keep in mind the magnet holder is for smaller tanks and their is no way to upgrade it, it will hold reliably on 1/2" or less.
