Tunze 7090 Controller

I have a pair of 6055's. The attached 7090 controller on the one seems to either be stuck in some kind or mode or is showing an error. The "œexternal control" light seems to be stuck on. No matter what mode I switch to the amber "œexternal control" light stays on. If I increase the main power control knob the knob light instantly goes bright blue like it's at full power and then the "œexternal control" like turns off. If I turn it back down the the light come back on.

I can think of a few possible causes.

1) The buttons may be stuck, opening it should solve that and then you can close it back up leaving the screws a little looser.

2) The controller may have some water damage, this would be apparent when open and this may be by no fault of your own if the cable has a defect or tear, we would just have to check.

3) The controller is simply defective.
