Hello,

Have a couple large boxes of the media. Would like to use it in a standard calcium reactor (other brand).

Any info on the ph at which it would dissolve? Would I also need to add a supplement for magnesium, or is it contained in the above?

Thanks!

It is a fairly pure calcium carbonate, it is a by product of an industrial process and I would consider it to be more like manmade limestone, it has very little if any of any additional elements, you can see the analysis on the package. Because it is more dense than many natural products it dissolves slower and needs a lower pH, minimum 6.9, but 6.5 is better. The main benefit is the lack of phosphates and the lack of any residue or debris from its dissolution.
