Tunze 9001 help

I have a biocube 29 with the 9001 installed in 2nd chamber with media basket. I have an ATO system but it seems its either just right or too low before it tops off. Cant seem to get it "just right" so I thought about putting it in the main tank since it stays level. Is this ok for placement if the flow doesn't pull too hard and cause micro bubbles? Or is there a small gap sensor that I can use to replace this float. The travel on the float is too large for the small window or sweet spot for the Tunze.

Thanks in advance!

I am not sure what type of ATO you are using so I cannot advise on sensors. The 3155 will generally allow a 1mm variation, the 3152 will allow a 4mm variation when new and 2mm after some break in time so the switch is less stiff. Any of these should be fine for a 9001.

The 9001 was designed to just go in a tank, while all in one tanks are gaining popularity in Europe, most people still just buy a glass box and outfit it as they want. It is true that a strong flow past the skimmer will draw out bubbles though.

I have a digital aquatics float and toms uplift pump attached to my apex breakout box. I moved it to the tank itself and I'm experiencing micro bubbles but i also read it will side after a few days.

The main causes of bubbles will be-

1) less than 2 weeks in use

2) submerged too deep

3) Air is closed to far

4) strong flow by the skimmer

Ok it has been less than 2 weeks. I've got the valve open completely. I've got it in the tank and now submerged properly and steady level being it's in the tank. Flow wise I've placed it next to the vents for the sump to suck the microbubbles (just a thought) back into the sump. The microbubbles have reduced a bit so I'm going to leave alone for next week and allow to finish the full break in.
