Tunze 9002 Help

I recently bought this skimmer new, and upon installing it in a RSM, i noticed something odd, the venturi does not appear to be working.

When the skimmer is on, all it does is pump water, there is no air being drawn in through the Venturi. I have checked, and it seems evertything is intact, there are no kinks in the hose, and the valve screw for the air is full open.

There is no Debris in the air hose.

Has anyone had this issue with these units before? perhaps someone could shed some light on this situation for me.

One thing i should mention, If i blow into the airline, the skimmer will work for a short while (10 - 20 seconds), then it loses the air.

Im really at a loss with this skimmer.

Yes, the venturi is defective, your dealer should be able to get you a new nozzle, last year some units were made with nozzles from an older 210 skimmer and the position does not draw air optimally with the 9002 pump. You need part 9002.400
