Ok I'm getting really frustrated! This skimmer seems very touchy. I have had this skimmer set up before about two years ago bit not even long enough for it to break in. I have had it running for a little over a month on my solana and at first it was doing great pulling out some really dark nasty skimate. Now suddenly nothing. I took it apart to see if anything was clogged but nothing. Waterlevel is at the line I've tried moving it up and down with no real differences. When it does skim it's only to one side of the collection cups tube because it seems it's getting a bigger bubble to one side where it just pushes smaller bubbles to one side. Also never once was it solid bubbles up the tube. Please help

Did you add anything, or do a large water change? It is not unusual for any skimmer to stop working for a day or so if you have your hands in the tank a lot, stir up any sand or detritus or do a water change or add any vitamin, dechlorinator, algae killer, stress coat or use epoxy stick, within a couple days it will resume normal operation. I would just leave it alone for a while, a skimmer will not always be skimming, anything that changes surface tension or reduces the waste load will stop the skimming process.
