The manuals show that the 9005 is for tanks up to 132 Gallons and that the 9010 is for tanks up to 264 Gallons. I have a 75G tank and everybody has recommended the Tunze 9010. Why? it doesn't seem to make sense. Will it be overkill?
Thanks...
Get the 9010. When you add the cost of the sump kit ($46) to the cost of the 9005 ($255), you are almost to the price of the 9010 ($327), which includes the sump kit and is a stronger skimmer.
Thanks!!! I just purchased...
I'm taking the bio balls out slowly and making room for the 9010. Its going to fit a little snug, but I'm thinking of facing the water intake away from the drainage in order to create a quite zone within the drainage compartment for the skimmer.
Does that sound ok?
