Tunze 9410

Roger,
I am trying to verify some dimensions for the width of the 9410 base before purchasing the skimmer. The width of the base is stated as 7.0 inches in the Tunze catalogue. I am assuming that is from the outermost part of the outflow tube protrusion and then directly across to the other side of the base. Hope that's clear. Is that correct? I have a potentially very tight fit in the sump, so I need to be sure of the dimension before ordering.

I have the skimmer. You are correct. But don't forget the pump is mounted on the outside of the skimmer body!! Not sure exact measurements though

My assumption is that the 7.0 inch dimension is the max outer dimension of the skimmer front to back, with the outflow tube being the back. Can you tell me if the pump extends beyond that 7.0 inches front to back?

You need a space of 7" by 9.8" to accommodate the skimmer fully assembled, 7" is the narrowest portion, 9.8" is with the attached pump at the widest portion.
