Any comments on this Roger? Is the speculation true?

Ultimately I'm more likely to pay for the lack of hassle of having to create my own mounting system anyway and buy a Tunze but the article is interesting nevertheless.

Yes, that is true, I am not sure where they found them for $20 as the local Fry's store sells the fan for $40, to that we add a multivoltage with all the plug adapters USB power supply which is about $20 and a clamp for mounting. We have never made it a secret, it is just a computer fan we modify but that is all any aquarium fan is with a few exceptions being small greenhouse or coldframe fans from horticulture. Nobody actually makes an aquarium fan from scratch.
