Marine Depot lists this as a Discontinued Item. Is it? I have two of them I bought right after they came out. Generally they have done the job...However, I have had to replace the Temperature Sensor probe on each unit once...and on one of the units twice. It has now gone bad again. I get water temp readings above 90 degrees, which causes the chiller to run continuously.

My bottom line...Tunze please help...

I have a bad temp probe again...third time. Can you provide me with a supply since I have already bought two (at $50 a pop) and this seems to be a defect on the Chiller...especially if these are discontinued.

I would appreciate some quality customer support here...thanks, Dave

They were discontinued by us in February 2009. This chiller was made by Hughes Refrigeration in Kansas, we approached them about developing a new chiller that would work on 230V50Hz as well as US voltage, the development costs were prohibitive and we parted ways and abandoned this project. Hughes is still in business and still handles parts and service, we no longer have any stock of parts or products. I will PM you his contact info.

chiller

i have one of these chillers now but the temp shows up 6 deg higher than it actually can you just control these units by the apex unit?or can i get replacement temp probe anywere?

These chillers were made by Hughes Refrigeration in Olathe Kansas, he had made them for a few companies over about 15 years and I believe he has long since quit making them and just does industrial refrigeration now. You could try to contact him about a new probe. I would simply use an external temp controller.
