I'm confused about how Tunze determines the rated flow of their pumps. Normal pumps (impeller pumps?) provide flow numbers so that you can figure out how many gallons per hour you're going to pump through your plumbing system. Stream's aren't meant to be used in plumbing and since the stream pumps move the water in a wider pattern, how do you figure out how much flow its producing?
Are these numbers really comparable to a "normal" pump?
Do they figure it out based on the popeller shape itself? I bet it has to do with how many RPM's it turns. Do the Stream's turn faster or slower than normal pumps? How fast do they turn?
Sheesh, I think i'm biting off more than I can chew here!
Thanks!
