Tunze Help

My tank currently houses mostly softies and LPS, with some SPS. I want to add some more SPS and move some of the softies that are taking over one side of the tank. In order to put the SPS in all locations of the tank, I think I need some more flow and would like to put in some Tunze's. Right now I have an Iwaki 100RLT going back to the tank. The return water is being spread through 6 returns lines with a squid alternating device in place as well. What would everyone's recommendations be for some Tunze's. Tank is 96x30x30.

Thanks

I'd do two 6201's with controls. Do you have a neptune aquacontroller? If so get the aquasurf to control them.

That what I was recommended on the Tunze board. Where would be the best place to locate them? I do not have a neptune controller. I actually don't have a controler at all. Still trying to decide if I need one.

Try www.thereefstop.com I think he's still a sponser so I can link that up??

When looking at controllers, there is a tunze mulitcontroller which is about 100 more than the aquasurf which is an add on module for the aquacontroller. So if you've thought about an aquacontroller, that would be 100 more towards it. But if you're going to wait on a system controller (especially with the tunze expense right now), maybe just a single controller on one of them for now might be enough for the short run. For that advice you need to talk to a tunze owner. I haven't dumped the cash for them yet but I need to. I'm tired of these other ones.

I agree. I had gone threw a bunch of power heads alot was a waste of money. Now I should have just bought Tunze in the first place. I have two 6200 in a 72"x36"x30" on a controller. It is worth every penny and no headaches. Mostly maintenance free. They move alot of water they have an alarm if the pump stops. Very Low wattage and there low DC voltage gpoing to the motor. You won't get shocked if something where to happen to the cord and DC is better for controlling motor speeds, IE the motor will last longer.
