Tunze Hydrofoamer 9420.04A issues

Hi there. I have been having issues with my tunze. It is only six months old (thats when I bough it) It came with my i-tech 200 skimmer and it stopped working after a cleaning last week. I do a vinegar dip once a month overnight then scrub it down (fully taken apart) to make sure it is clean. It seemed to be unbalanced and would just vibrate. I found that keeping the screw out an while it was running turn the impeller frame counter clockwise an it would start, then I could just screw it in while in the water. But that was just the beginning. That night I did my normal routine of checking my apex for issues and it was running about 3 degree higher then the norm. The next day my alarm went off at 5 degrees and so I started testing. Without the pump on I dropped 6 degrees that day. So obviously there is something going on.

What are my options? Does this pump have the same warrenty as my 6101's did?

Any help would be great. Running without a skimmer scares me.

The pump has a 2 year warranty, it wouldn't cover damage by a foreign object in the pump or neglect though. But, it does cover a defect.

Before sending it in check the following, the image linked below in the bearings, they should seperate and look just as pictured, if the rubber is torn, or they seized to the shaft by calcium, that is the root issue. They must be seated in there sockets in the pump and impeller housing and the impeller magnet and shaft spin easily inside them. I suspect all that is wrong is these are stuck due to calcium or the back one is loose and not in its socket.

Search for part 9410.046 on tunze.com, there is something cut out of the link by pasting it.

Would you like to see high def pics of what mine looks like? Its looks new. Its treated in a vinegar bath monthly. The entire pump internal and external looks like new. Both bearings come out easily. And the impeller spins freely. No rips. No marks.

Again, vinegar bath totally taken apart monthly. And its only 6 months old. And it heats my water 5 degrees.

Something has to be binding I would imagine, this pump would normally use less than 20W and should only add about 1 degree to 100 gallons, send it in-

Something hit me earlier so I had to wait till I got hiome to try it.

When I put it back together after cleaning it, the bushing is always on the shaft with impeller in the housing. Then you put on the cap. It binds till I turn the cap to remove, then starts... So this time I put the outer bushing in the cap and it was difficult to line it up, but I got it on there and it starts up every time now.. The true test will be in the tank to see if the temp stays stable. If not, I will send it in. I see no reason to service it if it works. I will post my results after a 12 hour test period.
