Tunze Magnet Owners

Just got my magnets - much better than the clamps that come with the streams but due to vibration and pulsing of the pumps they move and don't stay set in the direction I put them. What do you all do to keep them in place?

Did you put the little rubber feet on them so that the magnets are not right on the glass but sitting on those feet?

Mine have never moved an inch.

No No, I guess I ddin't explain it correctly. The magnets don't move but the pumps do, on that little swivel that they are mounted on that fits into the magnet.

I think you can use the plastic screw to tighten the swivel arm down, mine just stays put though without the screw

Let's try this.

Oh Roger! Paging Roger Vitko.....Support in aisle 3 please.

The screw idea was a good one, but the only screws that I got with the pumps belong to the clamps. I tried them but the nuts were not big enough and slide right through the bracket shaft that slides onto the magnet and the brcket on the pump.

Gents, you should use the screw to hold the pump down and you can point them at any direction as you want. The screws should come with your pump and the bracket kit. The large and short screw.

OK, maybe I'm stupid or that I'm just having a huge brain cramp, but where exactly do you put the screw. You have the bracket that clips onto the mags, it has a shaft on it that fits the loop (? for lack of a better word) on the bracket on the pump. The shaft and the loop are not threaded and are too wide to use one of the plastic nuts. Maybe someone could expalin this to me because I'm really not getting it. If you could provide a pic that would be great.

I'm with rdnyva, I don't know of any screw that holds the pump to the magnet. It's a round piece of plastic with teeth etched in it and that drops into a female hole with teeth in it so when you point it in a certain direction, the teeth are suppose to keep it in that position. There's no screw holding those together (at least not in mine).

Its the larger of the 2 screws, goes right through the middle of the mounting bracket were the pump meets the magnet

The 6200 have screws, all the rest don't.

Ding, ding, ding.....I have 6100 Steams.

Phew...I'm not crazy.

Need a second opinion?

Back to the lounge with ya...

On this particular topic, I'm not crazy.

That makes me feel better, I have 6100s, so I'm not crazy or stupid. But that still leaves me with the orignal problem. The pumps turn on the swivel and I can't keep them pointed in the direction that I want. Anybody got any ideas.
