Just wondering how long is the float allowed to go down before it signals the pump? Seems it lets it go about an inch and then only pumps for about 3 to 5 seconds. Not good on a 10 gallon nano setup. I have reset many times, same thing.

The pump should turn on as the float nears the bottom of the post at the c clip, it should turn off as it nears the nut, the water level should only fluctuate about 3/16". If the pump stops in a very short time after cycling the power without raising the float, the pump is faulty, we can send a replacement if it is under 2 years old.

that would be awesome! Just bought it 3 weeks ago.

So if I let it go to the bottom it will come on for 3 seconds then shut off. It seems that it is letting it go too low before kicking on and then only filling for 3 seconds.

Like you said, it just might be faulty. I bought from Marine Depot I believe.

No, it will fill until the float goes up or it times out at the safety timer setting. If the pump stops in a few seconds and the float has not been raised to the stop, the pump is bad. Email me the receipt at Tunze at sbcglobal dot net
