tunze nano problems?

I have been having this weird problemwith my tunze nano. I unplug it to feed and when I plug it back in it always starts sucking air through the front. like its running backwards. It does not stop doing this until I put my hand over the fornt to create suction then it switches.

then tonight when I pluged back in it would not start. made a buzzing sound but would not start. I pulled it out and was able to by poking around at the prop get it going but it sounded like it had broken glass in it. I put it back in the tank and it started sucking water inthe front and making a bad noise. I tapped it a few times and it went back to normal running.?

anyone have any weird issues with there tunze nano.??

I have had the exact same problem with mine after it is unplugged. It is easy to "reset" the flow, but for $65 I shouldn't have to!

What do you mean by "reset" the flow.?? Do you just mean get it going again. Is there something better than whacking it to get it going.?

Thanks

Its because we have alternating current that the impellar will start in reverse 50% of the time.
Sometimes it will just need a smack or poke to spin the correct way.
This is why the nanostreams are not controllable.
