Hi All,

I just set-up a Red Sea Reefer 350 and looking to add two Nanostreams or two Blau Wave Motion....

Could someone outline the differences, advantages and disadvantages between these two wave makers please?

Thanks

MM

you have a website for the blue wave motion?

nm I spelt it wrong, looks like just a rebranded jebao pump, there are plenty of threads about tunze and jebao pumps. for me it was quality, ive used the same tunze pumps for 12+ years where my jebao's died within 8 months, all 4 of them. also tunze coustomer servise is IME one of the best if you ever have any questions or issues. I also had to clean the jebao's every 2-3 weeks or the flow would stop or barely move even though they looked clean where as my tunze's only get cleaned once a year with no drop in flow.

Welcome to the Red Sea Reefer club? I have a 350 myself.

There are a number of different Tunze nanostream pumps so you'll have to be more specific about which model you are thinking about. I couldn't find anything on the Blu Wave Motion.

On my Reefer 350 I am using 2 Tunze Nanostream 6095 running about 47% max and they provide enough flow. Any higher and water will start to slosh out of the tank.

Check out my build thread in my signature and there is a long thread in the Red Sea section of ReefCentral where we share ideas, lots of pictures and how some of us modify our tanks - I use the ATO as a refugium - http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2458623&page=78

I have two 6040's controlled by my apex and wouldn't have it any other way. I had two jebao's rw4's previously and the 6040's are so much better in every way. More power, easy to clean and dependable. To clean the Tunze's, you just remove the cap, pull out the impeller and you're done. Not so easy with the jebao's, PITA!!!
Just my two pennies.

Shifty -

Jabao is made by a Chinese company, Blau is made in Spain....I don't think they've hit the US market just yet. Thanks for the advice though.
