Tunze or EuroReef Skimmer?

After 3 years with my ASM skimmer I am in need of a new skimmer. I have narrowed it down to the Tunze 9005 Skimmer and the EuroReef CS80. I was wondering of the two which reefcentral members prefer. I have a 90 gallon Acro dominated reef with a 35 gallon fuge, ozone, carbon, ROWAphos, etc. I am not trying for an arguement on who's best overall, just who would you prefer in my situation. Max amount to spend on the skimmer is $350 and am looking to purchase now, thanks everyone.

Very happy with my CS-180, so I'd recommend ER.

I've read a lot of positive comments on the new Tunze skimmers. You may wish to run thru the Tunze forum and read about them.

FWIW, I am considering selling my ER 6-2+ and replacing it with a 9010.

i replaced the needle wheel impellers in my two g-3's and the skimmers ran like new...i think they were 30$ a piece from champion lighting in ambler pa.
have replaced one pump in 3 years but only due to running it dry...(not recommended)
champion still honored the return!!!

I've always had good luck with them. I'm curious, do you actually have experience with them being horrible? If so, then my apologies, but there are too many people on here just jumping on the badwagon and poiting fingers and none of them have even layed their fingers in an ER and dealt with CS. If you're in that group, you really shouldn't be talking.

Yes, I own the CS-5,Sent ER e-mails with no responce then posted on the now defunked vender thread got a phone number and cointact person (toll call)by PM, not there first 2 times, then got answer but no follow up. If you followed the threads back then, it was obvious a little customer service care would have gone a long way. H20, thier affiliate, took for ever to clear the warrenty price and longer to ship a $200+ order of back up parts, but my credit card was billed day of order. I like my ER but would not purchase again due to ER's attitude.

I had a situation with an ER skimmer and ER was FANTASTIC on customer support for me. Went above and beyond the norm. I have bought 3 euroreefs and have had nothing but good things with them and there company.
I would go with Euroreef.

I have had great CS on my ER 6-2+. BTW you can get factory blemished ERs for 25% off on h20 tropical. The blems only affect looks not performance. I can't find the blemish on mine.
