tunze osmolater 3155

i just got a tunze osmolater today how far off or in the water does the optic sesor go? also the wite i guess float valve thats next to it should the water be right under it or touching it a lil???

The optic sensor will detect the water level is correct when the water touches the point of the sensor where the cone shape of the tip meets the cylinder.

The float is ideally on the same magnet holder and it is only a safety back up, if the water raises the float the safety shut down and alarm is activated.
