Tunze osmolator nano

Hello. I have this and it's maybe 3 months old. About a month ago I came home to a tank full of water, as if it just didn't detect proper water level. I was able to get the salinity back in check. I only keep about 3 gallons in the bucket, so it only dumped what was in the bucked (probably less). No death.

I thought the float was maybe dirty. So, I cleaned and turned back on. No issues.

Last week, same thing, tank full of top off and the tunze didn't detect it was full.

I have determined something is broken. My testing is showing me:

1. Put float switch high in tank, it keeps filling but does STOP once it hits

2. However, it's not just buzzing non-stop when the tank is full

3. I have to cut off and it fixes

I believe if left unattended, this will result in another issue like I had.

So, how do I get this fixed?

Kudus to Tunze. I sent it back to Roger and literally the day he got it he told me what he issue was. He is fixing it and shipping it back to me! Thank you Tunze. I run all Tunze on my 3 systems and only recommend them to others!

Im having an issue with my nano as well. It just never comes on, but if I unplug it and plug it back in it will run, but it does not always make it to the sensor, any ideas?

Thanks

If it is on an aquarium that is larger than 25 gallons did you increase the safety timer length as described on pages 26 and 27 of the manual? My best guess is it is just timing out which is a safety feature in case the float failed. Out of the box it is set for 25 or less, 3 minutes is for up to 55, beyond 55, you need the full size Osmolator.

I used to have a problem with a magnet being too strong on the Osmolator Nano.
The outside magnet would be exerting excessive pull on the switch, making it extremely prone to sticking.
My solution was to insert a piece of carboard between the glass and outer magnet, and after that its worked fine.
