Tunze Osmolator nicked cable issue...

Hi,

When I inserted my float switch cable into the mount on the magnet holder, the holder nicked the gray outer layer of the cable so I could see the brown and blue cables inside. I don't believe it nicked these two cables. I tried inserting it again and the same thing happened. The fit seams very tight. Do I need to send this into you for repair or will it be OK as is? I was thinking I could put some silicone over the nicks to seal them.

Thanks,

Chris Perzel

Chris,

We changed the fit of this holder last month, I would suggest sending in the osmolator and we will replace the sensor and cable and if you can just take some sand paper, an emery cloth or board or small file and lightly file the cable clamp to make it wider and less sharp. It is probably not critical but long term this cut could lead to problems.
