Tunze Osmolator Problem

I purchased an osmolator about 8-9 months ago and yesterday I noticed the eye is no longer reading the water level. At first I thought it was the pump but if I unplug the power cord from the wall and plug it back in it pumps fine. So I figured it must be the eye. Anyone else have this problem? Can the part be easily replaced? What would the cost be?

Did you try and clean it to make sure there is no slime or calcium buildup on it?? I have arun a few of these and clean mine once in awhile since I used a reactor and kalk additions.

I was just about to post the same thing. I bought mine on december 26th 2009 and yesterday I had the exact same problem. cant seem to figure it out. Other than this I have had no problems with it at all. Did you get yours working?

If it is the sensor the LED display on the controller will show green, if it is the pump you will get the blinking too low red LED, the pump may work after power is reset briefly, in this case it is working, but most likely the wiring or connector got wet and is corroded so the power draw excedes the limit of a circuit breaker built into the controller. Send it in for repair but include the pump unless you can rule that out completely. Please note I am addressing 143gadgets, we only handle warranty repairs and distribution for the US. In Canada you will need to contact the distributor, Xenia Inc.

I'm having a problem with mine too .. the eye, and the wire that comes off of it, appears to have RUST on it?!! The light on the controller is green. No love from the system, it is not topping off. Now I realize that I can't just go and buy a replacement sensor, I have to replace the whole controller???

There is no iron in this part so I don't know how it could rust, it is only plastic and some copper in the wires. This sensor can be replaced but it must be sent in to a repair facility for this repair. How old is the controller?
