Tunze Osmolator Problem

My Osmolator seems to be having a problem, I can't seem to figure out, it is showing the water level to be fine "green light is on" when it is not. Every once in awhile it will turn on the pump for a few seconds then off again, it is not keeping the water level anywhere near it should, most times unless I check the probe will be completely out of the water and the green light is still on. I have throughly cleaned the probe ect, any suggestions? Can it be sent in for repair?

It sounds like the optic sensor has a short assuming it has no scratches and has no calcium or mineral haze on it. If it is just due to calcium or minerals a 4 hour soak in vinegar should get it working. If it is scratched or has a short in the wiring, the sensor will need to be replaced and this would be warranty if less than 2 years old, $35 if more than 2 years old.

I would send it in with return address and phone number.
