tunze osmolator problems!!

i am having problems with my osmolator it been working fine for the past 2 years but the other day i noticed the red light flashing so i rebooted it and the pump still does not work. i first thought it was the connector so i re-cut the wires but still does not work. at one point i turned the prop manually and it spun for a few second but died down slowly although the orange light is still on. i can spin the prop easily without any problems could it be the power supply? thanks

You need a new pump. The pumps usually last only 18-36 months. They are cheap and should not be too hard to find, part 5000.020.

By the way, it is wise to through out the water in the bucket when the pump has died, the pump usually fails from water entering the pump which means it can contain some copper.
