Tunze Oz...and a KA reactor

I searched a bit but I didn't quite reach back a full year to find if someone else asked this question...so sorry if it has been responded to already...if so I'll gladly take a link to follow-up.

Anyways - going to be picking up a Kalkwasser reactor - and was also planning on the osmolator for the new set up (love it for my other tank). Anyways - how would the oz work with ka-reactor? Would the line from the oz pump be fitted as the inflow of the ka-reactor?

thanks in advance.

It all depends on the brand of reactor, I know they work with MRC Kalk reactors but every brand is a bit different.

hmmm - our group buy is on Precision Marine KA-Reactor. Is the principle the same (i hope)?

I think so, it just varies on how much back pressure will be on the osmolator pump and the size tubing used.

A follow-up question...in order for me to avoid having the ka-reactor back-siphon into the RO/DI reservoir where the tunze pump is...I was going to get a check valves...is there a specific size I need for the tubing? thanks as always...

It is 4/7mm but a 1/8" check valve will fit. The key is it has to open at a low pressure. Normally we use an airline check valve but some of the check valves for RO units will also work but they must open at a very low pressure.
