Tunze Positions

I am currently running 2 6000's in opposite corners pointed at the front center of the tank on a multicontroller. I added a 6100 to the mix and am stumped on the best place for it. Any of you guys have any suggestions. This is a standard 90 sps dominant bb tank.

Sorry to answer your question with questions! Were the 2 6000's not enough flow? I'm setting up a similar system 90 bb sps and was just wondering if you started over would you have went with 2 6100's instead?

I am currently running 6100's on my 180 in the same positions as you. If I was going to get another one ,(which I am), I would place it on the back wall facing the front.

I have been thinking of positioning for my 2 6100s for about a week now. I am going to try something new. I am going to place both of them in the middle rear and aim towards the front corners to see what kind of flow that would create. My tank is a 72"l x 29.5"h x 24"w 210 gallon tank.

I would think you would have to dial down a 6100 pretty far mounting it in the middle aimed to the front. That would be only 24" from rear to front on a standard 180. I would imagine it would be blowing the sandbed pretty good as well as a ripple of water almost cresting the front glass.

I would go with 2 6100's if I did it again. I thought the 6000's would be plenty with my return and a seio 1500 blowing behind the rocks.

I agree with you, I would be blowing water out the tank if I moved one of them to blow right at the center.

Anybody running 2 on one end with the third blowing in between them from the opposite side? I might have to redo some aquascaping over this. Any other suggestions out there?

A club member of mine has a setup similar to what you just mentioned. He has 2 6100s on one end pointed to the middle, and a new VorTech pump on the other end aimed to the middle. The VorTech pump is the one that is a 2 part pump, with the impellor in the tank and the motor on the outside of the tank. He has this in a 6' 280 gallon tank.
