Tunze Powerhead Question

Hey Guys,

New to Tunze equipment and was thinking of setting up two Tunze PH's on an Neptune APEX controller (to create a wave-like motion in the tank- one of them bursting on and then the other, back and forth).

Are there particular Tunze PH's that are better for this, or can you technically use anyone of them for this application? I read that the 6105-6305 models are "controllable", does this mean that these are the only ones that would work for this?

6055, 6105, 6205, 6305 are electronically controllable low voltage pumps, you can set the speed, vary and pulse speeds and do much more with these pumps than basic off and on.

The 6025, 6045, 6065, 6085 and 6125 are constant flow, though 6045 has a mechanical flow control. These pumps use full 115V power, they can be switched off and on every 15 minutes, they are ideally left running continuously however and rapid switching, more often than every 15 minutes will greatly reduce there life span.
