I have yet to find a noise problem that is not solved by a new impeller if it is from inside the pump and not vibration, this is all you likely need, I would contact your dealer or Xenia for a new impeller under warranty, 1073.047_A.

I live in Toronto Canada, but I bought it from marinedepot in the states
so who should I contact with?

Outside the US we cover the part but not the shipping, I will send the part, we can send it direct to you for the actual cost of shipping by whatever method you prefer or we can send it to Marine Depot to be added to a future order at no charge. Technically, US Tunze product should not be exported.

thanks, Roger, I got the impeller yesterday, I put the new one in the pump,
but same problem, the noise is still there, and now I got another problem.
If I turn the output to full, it will making clicking sound, I have to turn the output down
to half to eliminate the clicking noise.

Did you also change both bushings, are you sure the bottom bushing is fully seated (pressed in all the way)?

Yes, I changed the both bushings, and bottom is fully seated as well

Unfortunately, I am out of ideas, without getting the pump back I don't think this can solved, I would need to see what is wrong. The only moving part is the impeller.

sorry to bring this back from the dead. I'm having the same problem. I'm getting a humming noise that's quite loud. I do have the return hose split into a smaller one. If I press down on the wood of my tank stand the vibration goes away but I still hear the hum. I'm going to try some of the suggestions in hear.

Is this a new pump or an older pump that was quiet and has gotten noisy? The comment about the stand would lead me to believe there is some reverberation involved, anything you can do to isolate the pump contacting a hard surface directly will go a long way to reducing noise.

Pump is brand new. It's on all suction cups, I'll try the rubber mat method today.

If the pump is quiet when run isolated, like suspended in a bucket, the noise is likely due to the pump or attached plumbing vibrating against something and short connections of flexible tubing and a pad under the pump, making sure the sides do not touch a hard surface will greatly reduce the noise.

I moved the pump tad to the right and it seemed to fix the vibration without even having to put something heavy in the stand. Now I can hear the pump but barely. The sound of the water draining outweighs it now. I don't know if its suppose to be dead silent, but this I can easily live with the sound now, lol.

Appreciate the help. The pump, pumps like a beast, lol.

Update: I cut a rubber piece out of a floor-mat and put underneath it. I cannot hear it at all now. Thanks for the tips!!!
