TUNZE Recirculation pumps Q?

Hi Roger,

I just bought a TUNZE Recirculation pumps Silence (1073.040) and there is a sticker on the side of the pump stated for Voltage 115v.

However from Tunze website, it stated the below:

Recirculation pump Silence (1073.020):

Pumping capacity: 2,400 l/h (634 USgal./h).
Energy consumption: 30 W.
Pumping head: 2 m (78.7 in.).
Voltage / frequency: 230 V / 50 Hz (115 V / 60 Hz).

My question is as I'm based in China, will it work on a 220v or is there a separate model for 230v that works here in China??

For info, I'm also currently using your Universal pump Mini 5024.04 (5024.040) which also stated 230V/50Hz (115V/60Hz) in the website and it works here in China without any problem.

Please advice? Thanks in advance

The 230V 50Hz version is a seperate model. The US pump will only work on 115V 60Hz. Is China 50 or 60Hz. Since a synchronous pump depends on the HZ for its rotational frequency, the Hz are critical to flow rate and start up and it is not likely that the 5024.040 will last very long if it is running on 50Hz even with a transformer. For 50Hz the coil is different and the impeller is larger.

Thanks Roger - so there is a 230v 50Hz version as I was told there is not?? Can you confirm this??
