Tunze Silence Pumps on a 75

Hello All,

I am planning a 75 gallon DT with a 40 gallon sump. I would like to move about 400 GPH. I have calculated 5.8 ft of head loss. I am confused about the differences between the silence pumps. The charts are very difficult to read. 1073.05 is the electronic version. It appears to be more adjustable but almost everything else is vague. 1075.040 is cheaper and appears to have the same throughput. 1073.020 is the smallest and may be just a little too small to get me where I need to be. Can you shed any further light on the differences.

The main differences are that the 1073.05 is electronic with a fully controllable output and it also handles head-pressure better. It doesn't sound like you'd need either of those features, so for your purposes the 1073.04 will be sufficient. It will give you close to 400 GPH at your calculated head. And I agree that the 1073.02 would be a little on the small side.

As a follow up, does the 1073.04 have the smae 3/4" and 7/8" barb fittings as the 1073.05? Thanks.
