Tunze Skimmer

Hi Roger,

I want to get a tunze skimmer for my tank, but would like a recommendation which one would be suitable for my system. I have a tank volume of around 325 litres and a height of 250mm in the sump section for the skimmer. The tank in the future may be a little heavily stocked so would want something to be able to cope with this.

Could you clarify the sump height? Is that the water level or the total height you need the skimmer to be? Is it adjustable downwards at all if that is the water level?

Oh sorry, thats the height of the water level in the sump where the skimmer will go, thats a fixed height.

The 9011 would be the way to go, the 9410 could work but would need to be propped up as the water level is too deep. 9410 is a bit stronger, 9011 is the quietest choice.

Thanks Roger. I was also looking into it and would a 9006 work? Uses less power, which is an important factor to me and seems to be able to handle my volume. On bit of a budget after getting the 6095s

I think it would be underpowered and the 9011 would be much better suited for the type of stock you plan.
