Tunze Skimmer

Ok so I recently bought a Tunze DOC skimmer 9010. I set it up using the in sump method with the suction cups on the bottom. I adjusted the air flow and the flow rate properly. I am getting no micro bubbles at all. I am going to research more on the internet but I was hoping that someone would have some input on my problem.

Is it too deep in the water ?

I have the water in the sump below the water level line on the side. But it is close does that matter.

I dont know much about these skimmers really, I know my skimmers pump can be too far into the water for it to draw in any air.

I'm gonna try using the mounting bracket for the side of the sump and bring the skimmer up a little bit. I believe you were right about it being too deep. The only thing that puzzles me is that the air in take is at the top and has a control valve. I'm just gonna have to toy with it, just sucks cause I won't have a chance till Tuesday.
