Tunze Streams with Controller

Wondering if you can answer a possibly stupid question for me? I have a Tunze 6105 I picked up in June to replace another brand of circulation pump and then just recently picked up a couple of older used 6100's with a 7095 controller (I'm setting up a new system and unfortunately couldn't afford new everything right now). My question is, when you attach the pumps to a controller, does the manual speed controller screw/knob get overridden or does it end up limiting the top speed of the pump?

By the way, Tunze Streams rock - the difference in flow and build quality is night and day better than the cheaper pumps I replaced.

Thanks and Cheers,
Keith

Thank you. When using a controller the potentiometers on the driver or junction box must always be at 100%, turning this down lowers the voltage the controller will receive and besides limiting the flow, it can also cause the controller to stop responding or act erratically.

Thank you kindly for the info. I found the PDF for the 6100 manual, but haven't found the one for the controller yet.

With any luck you'll be seeing another post from me soon about the best placement and controller settings for my new tank...

Cheers,
Keith
